Lucy KH Kalian

Bridges have been a recurring theme in my life. They act as a metaphor for the vision, courage, and strength associated with many of the people responsible for the growth of the United States.

Some are sole pioneers who are compelled to make tangible what sometimes only they believe is possible. Others are creators, whose spark and confidence are fueled by attributes inherited from previous generations of family. It takes substantial determination to accomplish what has been done. It takes more to continue.

I am inspired by the power and integrity of physical structures, recognizing the integrity of humans that make it possible.

I have great admiration for those who dared. My current collection
is a tribute to them.
